The Herts Phoenix Men’s team travelled to Reading on Saturday in an attempt to stave off the threat of relegation back to Division Two next season and with a full team there was every likelihood of achieving that objective.

Claire Jaggard had her second good heptathlon performance in as many weeks. She claimed the Silver Medal in the Junior Women’s competition at the South of England Combined Event Championships held at Bedford last weekend.

Herts Phoenix Senior Women’s long drive north for their third and final UK Women’s League Match of 2007 proved to be well worth while. The team got their best result of the season to lift them to fourth place in the Division Three table. Full results and photographs now available on this web site.

The young Herts Phoenix National Junior team travelled to Bromley in Kent on Sunday knowing that its tenure in the Southern Premier League had come to an end. It will start life in the Thames Division next year but that did not dampen their spirits even though the Junior Women were very depleted as a result of the crunch Southern Women’s League match on Saturday and holidays.
