Hayley Wills, Herts Phoenix’s Bishops Stortford born athlete at present studying at the University of Wales in Cardiff (UWIC) competed in the Welsh Championships at the weekend and took the Senior Women’s Title in a time of 2:12.18. |

The Herts Phoenix Men’s Team had a much shorter journey for their fifth match on Saturday, with a trip to Kingston-upon-Thames, where an almost full team collected a third place that has lifted the Team off the bottom spot of the League into a position where it might avoid relegation. |

Sixteen of Herts Phoenix’s athletes travelled to Birmingham last Thursday to compete for Hertfordshire in the English Schools Championships on Friday and Saturday. For some it was a first time experience, for others it was a return for a second or third time and there were a number of outstanding performances, not all medal winning, but performances that demonstrates that many of them should return next year. Whilst the Club’s Senior Women were battling away at their UK League Match at Stevenage, a number of the Club’s other athletes were at the East of England Championships at Bedford with several setting new records and collecting Gold Medals. Full results now available on this web site. |
