Richard joined the club this season and has recently competed in his first events.  He is mainly a thrower but has put in some good 100m relay performances for the U15 boys team already this year using the speed and strength that saw him represent Hertfordshire U14s at Rugby this season.

In his first Herts County AAA championships in May 2007 Richard won the three events he entered - the Hammer, Discus and Javelin making him the only Phoenix Athlete to win three gold medals that day.  He has made significant progress with Ian's coaching and hopes to keep this going as the season develops.

Other Interests - Rugby, plays for Welwyn RFC position outside centre & supports Wasps.  Music, plays the bass guitar and listens to lots of bands Oasis, Feeder, Killers, Kaiser Chiefs and Snow Patrol.  Fishing. Training trips to portugal!
