Herts Phoenix Men's Team was pipped at the post by Bedford & County at their Southern Men's League athletics match on a dry cool afternoon at Wodson Park, Ware last Saturday. Despite some very good performances by all members of the team unfortunately they were unable to field any steeplechasers and one of the 5000 metre runners picked up an injury whilst warming up and so were unable to pick up valuable points which would have enabled them to finish in front of match winners Bedford with 100 points.
