Herts Phoenix Senior Women travelled to Kingston on Saturday 5th September for their last league fixture in the Southern Womens League Division 2. With 3 teams to be promoted to Division 1, the team were lying in 4th position before the match and needed a big win to gain promotion.

Unfortunately, they were unable to field a team with sufficient numbers to achieve that goal and finished the match in second place to Crawley – the team just above them in the league. As a result, the team ended up in fourth position in the league and must try again for one of those top 3 slots in the 2010 season.
