Several of the Herts Phoenix endurance athletes travelled to Horsenden Hill, Perivale to compete in the last Metropolitan League cross country match of the winter to find the courses still covered with a couple of inches of snow in the shaded areas but quite muddy in other parts.

Sportshall training on as normal at Wodson Thursday evening. Tracks still have snow on them so training outside is doubtful but please check with your coach who will receive notification by email tomorrow.

These annual championships were again held over the hilly courses in Verulamium Park, St Albans on a cold and frosty morning last Saturday. Herts Phoenix endurance athletes were in action, but this time they were representing their schools in the Hertfordshire Schools Cross Country Championships. Several performed very well in their age groups and will now represent the County in the English Schools Championships to be held in Ilton, Somerset on 17th March. Edward wins his first international vest at Lotto Cross Cup

Edward Shepherd has been invited to race for the England Junior Men's Cross Country team in the Lotto CrossCup at Hulshout, Belgium on Sunday 12th February 2012. He gained selection following his excellent 5th place in the McCain Cross Challenge at Cardiff in January and his very good performances in the London City Runner Metropolitan Cross Country matches this winter.
