Whilst no new Club Records were set, there were a few new personal best performances to put smiles on a number of the team’s faces. In the Under 17 Boys events, Ben Montgomery competed for the first time this season and collected a victory in the Hammer competition. In fact there were more good results for the Under 17 Throwers with Chris Ashworth in the Shot Putt, the Discuss and a second place alongside newcomer Ben in the Hammer. Nathan Wake collected a victory in the Javelin as did Richard Parker, with Leo Lundgren also taking a victory in the Discus, and Louis Walshe in an unaccustomed role of throwing the Shot collecting a second place.
Nathan Wake stepped down a distance to take victory in the 200m in a time of 22.9 coming close to his pb, whilst Alex Veitch and Joe Gaynor (800m) and Louis Walshe and Tom Gough (1500m) also notched up first places. Leo Lundgren picked up two more victories in the Long and Triple Jump competitions and Joe Gaynor partnering him in the Long Jump also won.
