The final Metropolitan League race of the season was held over the hilly, wet course at Horsenden Hill, Perivale in warm sunny conditions on Saturday 12th February. The number of athletes competing in all races was well down on the previous 3 meetings. The very depleted under 17 women’s team needed to beat league leaders Shaftesbury Barnet by just two points to secure the league title, but although all four girls ran very well they finished tied in first place in the team race and so missed out on the overall team title by just one point.
